Luz Marina Ibarguen, a notorious 17-year-old witch who hails from Buenaventura, Colombia has claimed responsibility for comedian, Steve Harvey’s gaffe at the Miss Universe 2015 finale in Las Vegas, on Sunday night. According to Ms Ibarguen, she used her supernatural powers to charm the host to announce Miss Colombia as winner.
Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner and was forced to make an embarrassing apology. After announcing Miss USA, Olivia Jordan, as the third runner-up, Harvey initially named Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo, as the night’s big winner, relegating the remaining contestant, Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurzbach, to the second runner-up spot. But after Arevalo received the crown and a bouquet of flowers, Harvey announced he had made an error and that Wurzbach was in fact the winner.
Luz Marina Ibarguen, who is also the cousin of Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo, told the Buenaventura Express that she though her charm had worked until Steve miraculously changed his mind minutes later.
“I started chanting when the announcement was being made and charmed the host to confuse first-runner up with the first position. And I was successful for some minutes until I suddenly received a hefty spiritual slap from Steve Harvey’s grandmother. I lost focus and also lost my control over the host, who momentarily gained consciousness to rectify the error.”
“So I beg the world to stop blaming Steve Harvey and give me the credit for what happened last Sunday. Steve is just a human being with a strong grandmother watching over him”
